Miles “El MAc” MacGregor

I find El Mac’s murals particularly inspirational because he not only is a portrait artist but often depicts people with grave stories of fighting for justice. He uses art as a form of advocacy which is something I would like to do, as well. I especially like this painting "Ánimo Sin Fronteras" because it depicts a man, Melchor Flores whose son went missing after being picked up by police in Nuevo León in 2009. In addition, Miles took into consideration the mural to the right of his which depicts a boxing match. Ultimately, he captures a fighting spirit. As I look more into El Mac’s work I also see that he does a majority of his murals in collaboration with fellow artists.
